Glass Only Replacement

Our technicians can replace the glass layer only when the damage is purely cosmetic. We can confirm if it is purely cosmetic prior to the repair. The device must remain fully functional and retain the original factory display to qualify for the replacement. We cannot refurbish aftermarket screens or previously refurbished screens. 

This service is only available for selected models.

Full Display Replacement

Required in the event where the glass has shattered and damaged the LCD or OLED. You will typically see pixel damage, lines or flashing colours. The device may continue to power on and make sounds. You may see a black screen. 

These are the most common signs indicating the need for a full display replacement. Our team is able to confirm these, prior to repair.

Battery Replacement

The battery in your device is a consumable. This means that over time the maximum charge that your device has becomes less and less. Generally, we see battery life stays steady for 2-2.5 years followed by an increased decline soon after. 

Replacements are fast and affordable, giving your device an extended life.

Back Glass Replacement

When the back of your phone is cracked and needs replacing, this will make sure your device is cosmetically sound again. 

Rear Camera Glass Replacement

Cameras are becoming bigger and there are usually two or three. It's common that they are scuffed, scratched or cracked far too easily and need replacing.

Rear Camera Replacement

Impact damage or dust intrusion from a cracked lens can cause the module to no longer focus. It can also damage the sensor internally.

Charging Port Replacement

Charging ports are a high traffic zone, meaning it's only a matter of time before these need replacing or become temperamental on the charger.

Insurance Claim

With the increased cost and importance of many electronic devices these days, many customers choose to lodge an insurance claim to help manage the costs. The choice around whether to claim or not will depend on the type of policy you may have, the size of any excesses, no-claim bonuses, etc. plus of course the cost of the required repair.

Phone Surgeons is approved by many NZ insurance companies as a service agent. 

We typically recommend contacting your insurance company first to discuss a potential claim. During this discussion you may like to ask your insurance company whether Phone Surgeons is an option for you to work with, to resolve your repair requirements. 

Phone Surgeons can handle the necessary quotation and billing processes required.

Minimum Service Charge / Diagnosis

This repair type is the most common if you are not totally sure what may be involved with repairing your device. We will provide you with a written quotation once the device is assessed. If you decide to proceed with the repair, you won’t have to pay the minimum service charge.

By proceeding with this order, the customer agrees to pay for the minimum service charge of $65 and agrees to the terms & conditions outlined below.


Minimum service charge is only applicable if the service does not proceed and/or there is a change of mind by the customer after the repair has commenced.


 In case of no collection or payment for device from the customer after a period of 30 days from the receipt date of inspected/repaired products, Phone Surgeons will not be liable for any responsibility of storage and has the right to dispose the product under the policy. 


We DO NOT under any circumstances guarantee the functionality of Apple's Face ID, Touch ID / Fingerprint Reader & Home Button following any service.


Phone Surgeons is not liable for any damage to device(s) that show traces of third party repair or parts or further damage to existing damage parts on the device e.g cracked back glass. 


Glass only replacement service must have the original display present, we cannot refurbish aftermarket screens or previously refurbished screens. 


 All work carried out is covered by a 6-month warranty from the date of the invoice. This warranty does not cover additional faults which may occur and which are unrelated to the original fault. 


We do not provide any warranty for liquid/water damage or software related repairs. 


We provide out of warranty service, therefore all repairs void manufacture's warranty.
